Let’s break it down
this way, there’s supermarket skincare, beauty brand skincare, cosmeceutical
skincare, then prescription medical-grade skincare. Your supermarket brands are
like the Toyota Eco, basic AF. Cosmeceutical skincare are your premium
vehicles, your Mercedes Benz. Sure, the Toyota Eco will get you from A to B,
but it will never have the features, quality build and the power of the
Mercedes. The same goes with skincare. Cosmeceutical skincare is based on
science. The ingredients have been scientifically modified to be readily
absorbed in the cells effectively, and to give you a result. You won’t find
parabens, fragrance, artificial colours, SLS and nasty alcohols in
cosmeceutical skincare. Because of this, these products have a higher price
point. These are high quality, highly effective, science-based skincare
products that can change the way your skin works. If you’re serious about skin,
then cosmeceutical-grade skincare are the products you want to be dealing with.
Online consultations cost $50. I allow 30 minutes to chat about every facet of your skin. You will also get a 15% off
code to use on your first skincare order to help kickstart your skin journey.
In-clinic consultations cost $70 and include a full consultation, Observ skin scanner analysis, and email with a debrief of your new routine and treatment plan. You will also receive a 15% off discount to use either in store on the day, or a discount code to use on the online store.
The first thing I do is get a background story on where you’re at with your skin. I cover past treatments and products, medical history, diet, lifestyle, job, current skincare routine, medication and supplements, and family background. The skin is complicated! We need to cover all bases.
For in-clinic consultations, we then take your Observ photos with the Observ Skin Scanner, followed by a breakdown of what we see in the photos and how that will influence what treatments and products I recommend. The photos will tell us your skin type, hydration status, surface and underlying pigmentation, texture, vascular and inflammatory issues. Your photos are then emailed to you after your consultation for your records, along with a summary of everything discussed during your consultation, and a customised treatment plan. You have to choice of using your 15% off discount in-store on the day, or if you prefer, you can have this discount code emailed to you to use on the online store.
For online consultations, we go straight talking about a skincare program. I’ll give you all of my recommendations based off what we’ve discussed and talk you through the steps the to be taken in order to achieve your skin goals. Without having skin treatments, it does limit my ability to help you with your skin, but knowledge is power! And products alone can do some incredible things. After your online consultations I will send you a summary of everything we’ve discussed, as well as your 15% off code to start your new skin care routine. I recommend continuing to take progress shots of your skin and checking back in with me in the months following your consult. I want follow your journey and am more than happy to continue offering my support and advice in the future.
This depends on what your concerns are. Some
concerns need more frequent treatments than others. As a guide, most people
start off with skin treatments every 4 weeks. As your skin improves, we begin
stretching it out to 6 weeks, 8 weeks etc. My goal is to get your skin to a
place where it can be maintained at home with your cosmeceutical skincare
routine, with in-clinic visits around 6 times a year. Of course, monthly
treatments can be done long term – that would be amazing, it all depends on
your personal preference, your skin concerns and what’s maintainable for you.
